wHY DO WE NEED RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP and HOW IS IT CONNECTED to sustainability?

The question of transitioning to sustainability and creating thriving and flourishing living systems highlights the need for conscious leadership development.

There is a need to address leadership, to educate and prepare students to lead solutions for sustainability, and to focus on the role of the inner dimensions. The latter are described as people’s mindsets consisting of values, beliefs, worldviews, motivations and associated cognitive, emotional, and relational capacities.

CHAPTER LEAP program

Chapter LEAP is an empowering and inspiring internal leadership program aimed at growing leadership competencies for personal development and professional life. It teaches you about sustainable and responsible decision-making and leadership and helps you to get more clarity about your purpose, values, and actions in order to become a conscious leader. Chapter LEAP consists of self-organized workshops with the possibility of inviting coaches and mentors. It is supported by oikos International and derived from the LEAP YOUth Program.

GOAL OF THIS WINTER- AND SUMMER TERM 2022/23

Our Chapter LEAP Program 2023 focuses on the Inner Development Goals in the upcoming two semesters.

The program aims to gain leadership skills and qualities needed to successfully work with complex societal issues and provide the necessary tools to co-create a safe space for everyone in our chapter.

FIRST SESSION IS COMING SOON!

This workshop (“Driving change with the IDG Thinking in our life“) is designed by the chapter LEAP oikos Graz members and the participants of the last oikos International LEAP YOUth cohort 2022. This is a fantastic opportunity to work together on a project at the international level, connect with the oikos International community, share our learnings, grow together, and spread our knowledge with the outside world!

In this workshop, we will briefly discuss what is meant by the concept of “thinking”, introduce the IDG Thinking and answer the question of why it is essential to develop cognitive skills. Afterwards, we will reflect in small groups on the five thinking skills. The second part of the workshop is based on a silent conversation & harvesting. At the end of the workshop, we will focus on the interconnectedness of thinking with all the other IDGs.

This workshop organized for the LEAP YOUth Summit 2023 will be part of the session that we would offer for our program: chapter LEAP.

LEAP YOUth - oikos International

LEAP YOUTH SUMMIT 2023

For the first time ever, participants of the LEAP YOUth 2022 cohort, organized by oikos International, which took place from February until December 2022, put into practice what they have learned and share their knowledge with the outside world during the LEAP YOUth Summit 2023. They will introduce you to the five Inner Development Goals (IDGs) – Being, thinking, Relating, Collaboration, and Acting – through different workshops.
